A New Beginning for Pips!

Pips Coffee House is more than just a café – it’s a dream brought to life in the heart of Callander. After years living in Glasgow and working in early years education, I (Shannon) felt it was time for a new chapter. When the opportunity to buy Pips came up, it felt like fate. We packed up, moved back home to be closer to family, and took a leap of faith.

With the help of my husband David, our kids, and the incredible support from the community, we’ve lovingly brought Pips back to life after its closure in 2020 – and added a few touches of our own along the way.

What Makes Pips Special

At the heart of our café is homebaking, inspired by my Granny’s traditional recipes. Whether it’s a slice of cake with your coffee or something sweet to take away, everything is made with love and care – just like she used to make.

We keep things simple but hearty: breakfasts, hot rolls, toasties, paninis, sandwiches, and baked potatoes – plus a dedicated kids’ menu for our smallest visitors.

A Space for Everyone

We’ve made Pips a place where everyone feels welcome. We’re very family friendly – toys for the little ones, space for prams, and plenty of high chairs. We’re dog friendly too, so your furry companions don’t have to miss out!

We’re also wheelchair accessible, and we’ve taken training to ensure we can cater to a range of dietary needs, with gluten-free and vegetarian options available.

Community at the Heart

We’re not just serving food – we’re building a space for connection. That’s why we’ll be running regular Bookbug sessions right here in the café – offering stories, songs and smiles for local families.

Opening Pips has been exciting, terrifying, and absolutely worth it – and we’re so lucky to have the support of this lovely town. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, we can’t wait to welcome you.
